Purchasing a new pool table is a whole lot of fun. If you enjoy playing pool there is nothing like owning your own pool table. Pool tables not only being great entertainment for family and friends, but they often look great in your home as well. Every time someone walks in my game room they always stop to admire the pool table. Then naturally they often want to challenge me to a game. Good luck winning that battle…LOL just kidding I’m not a pro just yet. When purchasing a table you must decide first where you are putting it and how much room you have. Next decide your budget and how much you will spend. Pool tables vary greatly in price as well as quality so knowing your budget is key. Third shop around for a knowledgeable dealer and a price you are comfortable with.
Antique Pool Tables For Sale
You may not just want a brand new pool table or any old used table. In fact people often want a classic antique pool table to add some style to their home. This is a fantastic idea and something that a pool enthusiast often does. Antique pool tables look wonderful in your home and give a room that old world feel. When looking for an antique pool table there are a few things to consider. First understand that most antique tables have been restored. Search out a reputable dealer or restoration service. You want to make sure the table you are getting has been restored correctly and is in good shape. Next understand the price you will be paying. For a full size antique table properly restored you are going to pay a few bucks. If you buy from a dealer or service that restores tables you likely will pay at least five – ten thousand for a table and could pay as much as twenty – thirty for rare tables. If you want to try your luck on ebay you may be able to bid on a table and get it cheaper. However caveat emptor when purchasing from ebay. I suggest purchasing a table from with a professional who understands and values their work.

Pocket billiards isn’t the only game you can add to your home. Bumper pool is a great game as well. Bumper pool is a little bit different than pool but still a heck of a lot of fun, and a bit cheaper for a quality table. Bumper pool tables are also easier to fit into a room because they are about half the size of a full size pool table. Not only that but you can get a multi-game table with poker, bumper pool, and a dining table as well. These are an excellent choice for game rooms. They are Octagon shaped so they fit well in any room and are easy to move about.
